Spark · Personal Instagram assistant

Terms of Service

Last updated 26 July 2026

1 What Spark is

Spark is a private personal assistant application built and used by a single individual: Mike Medland, owner of the Instagram account @aria_kingsley. It runs locally on that person's own computer. It is not a product, not a hosted service, and is not made available to any other user. There is no sign-up, no account system and no paid offering.

2 Permitted use

Spark may be used only by its operator, and only to manage the operator's own Instagram professional account. Any use of Spark to access an account the operator does not own is outside the scope of these terms and is not permitted.

3 Instagram and Meta

Spark uses Meta's Instagram API under the operator's own authorisation. Spark is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Meta Platforms, Inc. or Instagram.

Use of the Instagram API is additionally governed by Meta's Platform Terms and Developer Policies, which take precedence over these terms where they overlap. The operator is responsible for complying with Instagram's Community Guidelines and Terms of Use, including in any content Spark helps to publish.

4 Published content

Spark can draft replies to comments on the operator's posts, but publishes nothing on its own. Every reply requires the operator's explicit approval of the exact wording before it is posted. The application has no automatic or scheduled posting.

The operator remains solely responsible for all content published to their account, whether drafted by Spark or written by hand.

5 No warranty

Spark is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. It depends on third-party services — including the Instagram API and the Anthropic API — that may change, rate-limit or become unavailable without notice. No guarantee is made as to accuracy, availability or fitness for any particular purpose.

6 Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, no liability is accepted for any loss or damage arising from the use of Spark, including loss of data, loss of account access, or any consequence of content published through it.

7 Changes

These terms may be updated at any time. Because Spark has a single user, changes take effect immediately upon revision of this page.
